Turkey announced the current rebar prices in steel mills. The rise continues in the markets on the last working day before the election.
In the iron and steel market, where withholding tax has been applied for a long time, the habit of giving prices has not changed and offers were continuing on dollar-based or VAT-inclusive prices. However, today, Icdas A.S. announced its withheld price for the first time and opened the rebar prices for sale.

While there is a decrease in global markets and export sector, the result of the elections to be held in Turkey will give direction to iron and steel prices.
The fact that some of the iron and steel factories demanded the collection of their sales with payments due next week today created an important agenda in the market. The factories reported that they withdrew their payments today because they could not find dollars to buy on Monday Tuesday.
While the dollar-based prices of rebar should actually be around $610-620, the rebar is being traded at $680 due to the tightness in the dollar and the high exchange rate differences.

Turkey spot rebar prices;
Rebar tonne prices increased according to regions. While the highest increase was experienced in Karabük region, market representatives explained the reason for this as Kardemir has not been selling for a long time and the traders do not have stocks to sell.
