Central European producers reportedly offered €650-660/mt for Germany.
Northwest European producers, on the other hand, offered €700-730/mt for HRC ex-Ruhr. Market participants also estimated commercial values at €700/mt ex-Suhr.
Local prices for hot rolled coil in Northwest Europe were unchanged on 8 June at €705/mt ex-Suhr.
Some market participants believe that German producers will have to accept lower prices to reach a deal.
In Northwest Europe, import hot roll prices increased by €10/mt per day to €620/mt CIF Antwerp on 8 June.
Offers from Asia were placed at €630/mt CIF Antwerp.
In Southern Europe, local prices were unchanged at €670/mt ex Italy on 8 June.
Offers and trade values were reported at €670/mt ex Italy.
Import hot roll prices in the region increased by €5/mt intraday to €610/mt CIF Italy on 8 June.
Offers of €600-620/mt CIF Italy were heard for cargoes from Asia.
