The current rebar prices dated February 2nd, 2022 in the Turkish steel markets have been announced. While Istanbul and Payas producers announced consecutive price increases in the morning, the prices, which were closed after the sales made especially in the Payas region, mobilized the market.
Foreign sources interpret that a new increase in main raw material prices for EAF in East Asian markets is inevitable, as the demand trend for scrap actively supports the growth in billet supply, while other sources think that the trend in price increases may be temporary, as demand will not be very active.

Izmir rebar prices 15.800 TL (0,00) 839,73 USD
Karabuk rebar prices 15.850 TL (0,00) 842,39 USD
Payas rebar prices were announced as 16.100 TL (+200) 855,68 USD (+10,63)
