Pre-election trading volume in Turkey's iron and steel sector increased.

Turkey's rebar prices on the rise

Iron prices in Turkey have moved up in the last two days. However, a downward trend continues in the steel market in general. The post-election uncertainty in the USD/TL exchange rate has increased trading volumes.

Icdas A.S., one of Turkey's market players, announced that its list prices were maintained at $660, but prices of up to $650 were heard from the market depending on demand.

Producers in the Istanbul region accelerated their sales at prices between $647-655, while a producer in Izmir announced a price of $640. A producer in Iskenderun revised its current price to $647 after selling some cargoes at $643.
