Iron prices in Turkey continue to decrease. Silence in the markets and weakness in demand are forcing sales. On July 11, Icdas A.S. reduced its rebar and wire rod prices by $10 and its list prices remained above the market throughout the week. Icdas prices were announced at $590, while Istanbul producer prices started at $600 and dropped to $590. Izmir prices were reported at $590 and Iskenderun mills at $585.
Rebar prices in Turkey's spot market fell by between $250-400tl last week, but recovered by between $200-300tl in Turkish lira terms today in all regions except Istanbul. However, stagnant demand is pushing prices down again.
