What are the current rebar prices in Türkiye?

Exchange rates in Türkiye declined after the Central Bank raised the interest rate to 25 percent. The dollar rate, which was in the 27.2 TL band before the decision, fell to 25.8 TL. However, the markets quickly recovered from the interest rate shock and the dollar rate started the new week at the level of 26.56 TL.

While the Turkish steel market was stable on Friday, rebar prices are showing signs of decline in the new week. Although the factories report that they calculate the dollar rate from 27 to keep the prices steep, the lack of appetite in the market is pulling the prices down.
