There has been a sharp decrease in rebar prices in Istanbul and Iskenderun

In the iron and steel industry, there has been a serious decrease in export data compared to the same month of the previous year, due to the contraction in global demand and high energy prices in March.

As of May, Turkey is expected to regain its competitiveness in global markets with the discounts applied to natural gas and electricity used in industry.

However, the decrease in rebar prices continues due to the lack of demand in the local market.

The fact that İçdaş A.Ş., one of the leading rebar producers of the Turkish steel industry, reduced its price to $660 with a $30 discount yesterday, is an indication that the decline in rebar prices will continue.

Icdas current rebar prices

Biga

Rebar (12-32mm) $660 (-30)

Deformed Wire Rod $680 (-40)

Istanbul rebar prices continue to decline!

Factories such as Kroman and Çolakoğlu, one of the Istanbul iron and steel factories, announced their rebar prices as $660 yesterday, with a $30 discount. However, due to insufficient demand, the mills had to reduce their iron prices to $650 by making a discount of about $10 today.

Again, Tosyalı Demir Çelik, one of the factories in the Iskenderun region, dropped its rebar prices, which it announced yesterday at $660 with a $10 discount, to $653 with another $7 discount today.

Although the producers of the Izmir region resisted this decrease as they did not save their costs, it is heard that they decrease the price to $655 according to the demand.

Trader-based prices based on regions were announced in the range of $ 649-653, with a decrease of $ 3-6.

The current rebar prices evaluated by www.steelradar.com  are as follows;

Istanbul rebar prices 649$ / 14.900 TL (-150)

İzmir rebar prices 651$/ 14.950 TL (-100)

Karabuk rebar prices 653$ / 15.000 TL (-50)

Payas rebar prices 649$/ 15,900 TL (-150)
