Rebar prices start to weaken again

Rebar prices continue to decrease in global markets.

Due to increasing air pollution in China, steel producers decided to reduce their production in July. The decision led to a decrease in the prices of products such as billet, wire rod, Hrc and angle, especially iron ore.

Chinese reference prices;

Iron ore : 104-109$ (-3$)

Billet : 515$ (-5$)

Rebar : 545$ (0,00)

Wire rod : 550$ (-5$)

Hrc : 540$ (-20$)

Crc : 630$ (0,00)

Angle : 525$ (-10$

How much are rebar prices in Turkey?

While local scrap prices in Turkey increased compared to last week, this difference could not be reflected in the prices despite the increase in VAT rates to 20% in rebar prices. Prices including VAT remained stable. Lack of demand is straining the market.
