European scrap market continues to mobilise.
Benelux scrap prices increased this week. While prices in the Netherlands decreased, prices in Germany and Italy remained flat. Scrap prices in Benelux, which were at £260 last week, started the week of 31 July at £265. In the Netherlands, the price started the week at $331. In Germany and Italy, the price hovered at £338 and £325, respectively.
Rebar prices showed some variability.
Rebar in Italy is trading at £635 this week, up from £630 last week. In Spain, the price, which has been stable at $565 for two weeks, remained flat this week. In Germany, rebar is trading at £590 and in Poland at £608.
HRC and CRC prices have also seen some movement.
HRC prices remained flat this week at £690 in Germany and £6550 in Italy. In Spain, HRC prices decreased from £678 to £655.
As for CRC prices, Italy CRC prices decreased slightly from £770 last week to £765 this week. On the other hand, prices in Spain and Germany are at £675 and £765 respectively.
Steel plate prices in Europe remained flat this week.
In Italy, steel plate prices were flat this week from £785 last week.
In Germany, steel plate prices remained flat at £845.
Wire mesh prices in the UK were announced.
According to data released on 31 July, UK wire mesh prices are trading at USD 563,50.
Wire rod prices in Europe are at £630 in Poland and £590 in Italy.
