Türkiye's rebar prices fail to achieve the expected upward momentum

Although the iron and steel sector in Türkiye has been on an upward spurt from time to time, it has not been able to achieve the expected upward momentum. Türkiye's rebar offers for exports continue to hover around $555-560, while producer prices in the local market are hovering between $565-585 depending on the region.

After an active first day of the week, the second day was weak. Although trader-based prices hovered at the same level as yesterday, the weak demand is pulling offers down. Rebar offers in the spot market are sometimes 100-200tl below the list prices.
