Competition in rebar and scrap prices increased

Rebar prices continue to decrease in Turkish steel mills, which direct domestic scrap prices according to needs. Due to the demand for rebar, mills have also slowed down their purchases of imported scrap for a while.

Hms 80/20 scrap prices decreased to $428 yesterday with a decreasing deal to the market. Today, import scrap prices decreased another $10, with Eusider's sale to a producer in the Marmara region at $418. However, Eusider explained the reason for the low price on the grounds that the material started to be loaded on the ship and could not hold much in the port. Current import scrap price offers are around $425-430.

The decrease in rebar prices continues to suppress scrap prices, and the decrease in scrap prices continues to push rebar prices down.

Türkiye's current spot rebar prices announced

Due to the holiday next week, the recession continues. While expectations for the return of Eid increased, rebar prices by region decreased by $5 more than yesterday.

The current rebar prices evaluated by www.steelradar.com are as follows;

Istanbul rebar prices 693$ / 15.800 TL (-100)

Izmir rebar prices $693/ 15.800 TL (-100)

Karabuk rebar prices 695$ / 15.850 TL (-50)
