An Indonesian blast furnace reduced its export price of 5 sp grade 130mm/150mm billet to $560-565/t fob for May/June shipments on Thursday. The same Indonesian producer has offered 3sp 150mm billet at $570/t cfr Taiwan.
A rolling mill in Manila offered $580/t cfr for 5sp billet on Tuesday this week.
A Singaporean trader expects business activity to pick up after the Philippines market returns from a holiday next Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the rebar import market in Singapore remains quiet. A Vietnamese blast furnace is offering theoretical weight rebar at $650/t cfr.
Malaysian rebar is currently offered at $645/t Singapore delivery, or around $635/t cfr Singapore.
