Turkey's leading steel producer Icdas A.S. has adjusted its rebar prices. Icdas A.S., which hesitated to give dollar-based prices against the fluctuating dollar exchange rate last week, had reported rebar prices in the range of 14.800-14.816tl with TL-based withholding until Thursday. On Friday, when the exchange rate exceeded 20, it increased by approximately 290tl and opened its withheld price for sale at 14,970tl ($687 with 20 exchange rate).
Icdas withdraws its rebar prices
Rebar prices in Istanbul and Izmir iron and steel mills, which were at the level of 15.700tl on Friday, opened for sale between 15.800-15.950tl today. The price correction that surprised the market came from Icdas. The factory withdrew its prices, which were announced with an increase of 290tl on Friday, 390tl today.

Turkey left the election uncertainty behind
Turkey, which has been in the election period for a long time, has finally held its elections and eliminated political uncertainty. However, economic uncertainties still continue. The dollar exchange rate, which was 19.96 in the morning, is trading at 20.10 as of 15:00.
Turkey's spot rebar prices were flat in Istanbul and Izmir, down $7 in Karabük and $12 in Payas. Demand, on the other hand, remains stagnant.
