According to the information compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data, Türkiye's scrap imports in April decreased by 12.5% ​​compared to the same month of the previous year, from 1 million 728 thousand 951 tons to 1 million 512 thousand 528 tons. It decreased by 17.6% compared to the previous month, March.

Total scrap imports in the January-April period increased by 2.6%, from 6 million 657 thousand 859 tons to 6 million 827 thousand 672 tons.

Türkiye's most imports in the month in question were from the USA. Scrap imports from the USA increased by 21.9% to 364,590 tons. The USA was followed by the Netherlands with 194,237 tons, the United Kingdom with 152,239 tons, Canada with 104,929 tons, and Sweden with 83,596 tons.
