Turkey's steel plate exports to world regions increase and decrease in Arab countries

According to Turkey Statistical Institute (TUIK) data, in October this year, Turkey's steel plate exports amounted to 141,059 tons, falling 49.4 percent year on year.

In the January-October period of this year, Turkey's steel plate exports amounted to 1,588 million tons, falling 23.9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. A total of 536 thousand tons, of which 5 Arab countries were among the top 10 importing countries at that time, increased in Arab countries that make up about one third of the export volume.

While Italy was the country that imported the most with 238,248 thousand tons with a decrease of 53.5%, Egypt took the third place with an increase of 256% with 194,936 thousand tons and Iraq with an increase of 256%. Tunisia ranked sixth with 90,920 thousand tons and 36.1% increase, Algeria ranked ninth with 50,629 thousand tons and 63.3% increase, and Morocco ranked tenth with an increase of 45.111 thousand tons by 132.7%.
