Under the agreement, JFE Steel will provide technical support to Jindal Stainless to improve product quality, production practices and process efficiency for selected grades of ferritic stainless steel.
Jindal Stainless stated that ferritic stainless steel is used in automotive components, railway equipment, kitchen appliances, industrial machinery and construction applications due to its durability, corrosion resistance and cost advantages.
Jindal Stainless Managing Director Abhyuday Jindal said JFE Steel’s expertise in ferritic stainless steel production would contribute to the company’s efforts to improve product quality and operational practices. Jindal added that the cooperation would focus on enhancing the company’s workforce, processes and production practices.
Jindal Stainless generated revenue of INR 42,955 crore in the 2025-26 fiscal year and reached an annual melting capacity of 4.2 million tonnes. The company operates a total of 16 stainless steel production and processing facilities across various countries, including India, Spain and Indonesia.
The company’s product portfolio includes stainless steel slabs, blooms, coils, sheets, precision strips, wire rod, rebar, knife steel and coin blanks.
