Russia imported approximately 27,000 tons of stainless steel in November, down 2% month on month and 47.4 percent year-on-year.
Among them, imports of cold rolled stainless steel decreased by 24.6%, welded pipes decreased by 13.3%, rolled steel increased by 12%, hot rolled stainless steel increased by 63%, long products increased by 30%, and imports of stainless steel seamless steel increased. Pipe prices all rose 0.1% month-on-month.
China became Russia's largest stainless steel supplier with a share of 62.6%.
In the first 11 months of this year, Russia's stainless steel imports amounted to approximately 315,800 tons, down 3.5 percent year on year. The decline was mainly due to the war between Russia and Ukraine.
