Turkey's rebar prices continue to fall due to weak conditions.
The depreciation of the Turkish lira against the rising dollar continues to have a negative impact on the iron and steel market. Turkish rebar prices were down by $3-10 from Monday last week, but up by $100-250t in TRY terms.
On the other hand, the weak domestic market is putting pressure on the export market. Turkey's export offers have fallen as low as $550-560 FOB.
Although spot market prices were announced between 18,300-18,400 Turkish lira, offers were heard up to 18,100 Turkish lira in sales.
According to www.steelradar.com, rebar prices by region are as follows;
Istanbul rebar prices 18,400 TL (-200) / $579 (-6)
Izmir rebar prices 18.300 TL (-200) / 575$ (-7)
Karabuk rebar prices 18,400 TL (-150) / $579 (-5)
Payas rebar prices 18.300 TL (-200) / 575$ (-7)
