Kazakhstan extends scrap export ban

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan announced that the ban on the export of non-ferrous and ferrous metal scrap from the territory of Kazakhstan has been extended for another 6 months.

The ban, which has been extended in order to increase the load of domestic enterprises experiencing a shortage of scrap and waste raw materials, will come into force as of November 2, 2022.

The six-month ban on all types of scrap exports in Kazakhstan came into effect from May 6, 2022.
