There have been new developments in the iron and steel markets regarding the bans imposed by the European Union on products imported from Russia. The EU shared the steel deficit arising from Russia with other countries. Therefore, Turkey's export quota increased.
The increase in export quotas will provide an advantage to the producers in the face of weak business in the local market. The news that came to the traders who panicked, thinking that the prices would decrease, relieved a little bit. However, the market prices continued to decline.
Although the price lists according to the regions were announced as follows, prices were heard up to 15,600 TL in Istanbul, 15,400 TL in İzmir, 15,400 TL in Karabük and 15,250 TL in Payas.
The list prices of traded rebar that we publish on a daily basis are as follows;
Istanbul iron prices do not change, 15.900 TL
İzmir iron prices are 15,700 TL with 100 TL discount
Karabük iron prices do not change, 15.500 TL
Payas iron prices remained unchanged and were announced as 15.500 TL.
