Local rebar prices in Turkey continue to fall due to weak demand and election uncertainty. Rebar prices were down by $30-40 from Tuesday last week.
Producer-based prices are in the range of $640-660, but demand is almost non-existent. Under these market conditions, mills with no sales expectations continue to report flat prices. Because they are aware that no matter what price they give, there will be no sales.
Spot rebar prices reported by www.steelradar.com are as follows;
Istanbul rebar prices 15.000 TL (-300) / -640$ (-13)
Izmir rebar prices 15.100 TL (-200) / 645$ (-8)
Karabuk rebar prices 15.000 TL (-250) / 640$ (-11)
Payas rebar prices 14.900 TL (-200) / 636$ (-9)
