Rebar prices moved on the last day of the week in Türkiye. Prices of 80/20 imported scrap increased by an average of $5 to $353-355 per tonne in the last two days.
Steel producers, supported by scrap prices, are trying to increase their selling prices while cutting supply. A plant in the Aegean region gradually increased its prices to $545/tonne and then to $550/tonne today, after lowering them to $540/tonne.
Steelmakers in the Marmara region continued to quote prices at $570-575/ton, while producers in the Mediterranean region announced prices of $555/ton.
