Türkiye's billet imports increased by 55 in the January - June period compared to the same period of the previous year!

Türkiye's billet imports decreased by 13% in June compared to the previous month, according to data released by the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TÇÜD).

Thus, Türkiye's billet imports decreased by 16% in June compared to the same month of the previous year, from 328 thousand tonnes to 277 thousand tonnes.

In the first month of the year, Türkiye's billet imports increased by 69% compared to the same month of the previous year, increasing from 202 thousand tonnes to 342 thousand tonnes.

On the other hand, Türkiye's billet imports increased by 26% in February compared to the same month of the previous year, increasing from 200 thousand tonnes to 253 thousand tonnes.

In March, Türkiye's billet imports exceeded those of January with a 51% increase compared to the previous month of the same year.

Türkiye's billet imports increased by a record 294% in March compared to the same month of the previous year, increasing from 97 thousand tonnes to 382 thousand tonnes.

On the other hand, Türkiye's billet imports increased by a record 110% in April compared to the same month of the previous year, from 209 thousand tonnes to 440 thousand tonnes, reaching the highest figure of the January - June period.

In May, Türkiye's billet imports decreased by 28% compared to the previous month of the same year

On the other hand, Türkiye's billet imports increased by 23% in May compared to May of the previous year, increasing from 257 thousand tonnes to 317 thousand tonnes.

In June, Türkiye's billet imports decreased by 13% compared to the previous month to 277 thousand tonnes.
