Türkiye spot rebar prices increased by 3 percent in the first week of the year

As the Turkish steel market left the first week of 2024 behind, rebar prices increased by more than 3 percent. Rebar prices, which fluctuated between 21,400-22,200tl on Tuesday last week, increased to 22,100-22,900tl/ton today.

Producer prices, on the other hand, were trading around $620-625/ton on the first day of the new year, but have fallen as low as $600/ton in some regions in the last week due to insufficient demand. With raw material and cost increases accelerating, current producer prices are being offered in the range of $620-645/ton.

January 10, 2024 spot rebar prices by region, as assessed by www.steelradar.com, are as follows;

Istanbul rebar prices at 22.800 TL (+300) / 760,68 USD (+10,01)

Payas rebar prices 22.900 (+100) / 764,02 USD (+3,34)
