In Turkey, rebar prices have started to rise days before the election, due to the uncertainty that will follow. Rebar sales in the Iskenderun region started to move yesterday, but some producers closed their prices for sale in the evening hours. Today, some producers in the Iskenderun region refrained from announcing prices.
Producers in the Istanbul region gave an average price of 14,800 Turkish Liras / 645 US dollars yesterday and today, and it was heard that some producers made short-term sales at the level of 14,600 Turkish Liras / 635 US dollars.
The uncertainty after the election directed rebar traders to limited stocks. Some producers in the Izmir region resisted lowering prices and made sales today at a base level of 14,630 Turkish Liras / 635 US dollars.
In the spot market, while producer prices in the Payas region remained stable compared to the previous week, they decreased in other regions.
