İçdaş A.Ş., one of Türkiye's leading steel producers, increased domestic rebar prices by $10/ton. Current prices are;

Biga;

Rebar (12-32mm) 630$

Plain wire rod 640$

Deformed wire rod 650$

Istanbul;

Rebar (12-32mm)  641$

Plain wire rod 651$

Deformed wire rod 661$

Import scrap prices for 80/20 were quoted at $412/ton for imported scrap, but current offers are around $415/ton. The market was quiet in the first week of January. Billet from southern Russia to Türkiye for January shipment was offered at $545-550/ton CFR Turkey Black Sea ports, up $10-15/ton from the previous week. However, deals remain weak.

January 8, 2024 spot rebar prices by region, as assessed by www.steelradar.com, are as follows;

Istanbul rebar prices at 22.500 TL (+400) / 752,69 USD (+13,38)

Izmir rebar prices 22.000 TL (+400) / 735,96 USD (+13,38)

Karabuk rebar prices 22.300 TL (+500) / 746,00 USD (+16,73)

Payas rebar prices 22.800 (+350) / 762,72 USD (+11,71)
