Liberty Steel stated that Ostrava has applied an additional €125/tonne ($137/t) raise on flat rolled products due to rising energy and raw material costs.
In the statement made by the factory, “In addition to the increase in energy costs, we are starting to face the compelling situation related to the raw materials and suppliers that we are trying to prevent.''
''The additional raise will take effect immediately and will include materials in production or in waiting shipment (old connections).''
€175/ton raise will be applied for long products and pipe products.
