Khorasan Steel Complex provides 10% of Iranian steel production

The major industrial center "Khorasan Steel Complex" (KSC), located in the east of the country, known as the third largest steel producer with the capacity to produce about 10% of Iran's steel production and is directly controlled by the Ministry of Industry and Mines. In 2001, it operates in the field of construction rebar, billets, sponge iron and briquettes, using the most advanced technology in the sector and national and international product and management standards, as well as having experienced technical staff. The company's main units are pellet making, direct regeneration, smelting, casting and rolling, and consists of 18 different units, 5 of which are aid and support units.

Rolling mill annual capacity is 620,000 million tons

• Two DRI plants of 1.6 million tons per year

• 1 and 2 steel mills 1.4 million tons

• Sponge iron plants 1.4 million tons per year

Iron ore concentrate of 2.5 million tons per year

Pelletizing plant 2.5 million tons

Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Turkmenistan and UAE are known as target markets.
