According to sources, steelmakers did not adopt a unified approach to pricing, with some continuing to offer discounts to sell cargoes and others making negative attempts to increase their offers to EUR 680-700/mt.
In Northwest Europe, local HRC prices were unchanged at EUR 640/mt ex Ruhr on 7 August.
Market participants estimated tradable values at EUR 620-650/mt ex Ruhr EXW and EUR 650/mt ex Germany.
Local HRC prices in Southern Europe were also unchanged on 7 August at EUR 635/mt EXW Italy.
