Energy price increases recovered rebar prices

Rebar trade in Turkey revived on the last day of the week. While Turkish rebar export offers were as low as $550/ton, a steel mill in Izmir was reported to have sold around 20,000 tonnes to the domestic market at $550/ton yesterday. The same plant announced a list price of $560/ton today, while increasing its bottom price to $555/ton.

Rebar prices at iron and steel producers have been hovering between $555-575/ton, while energy price increases, which will be reflected as of August, have mobilised the sector on the purchasing side.
