Emirates Steel Arkan, one of the region's largest publicly traded steel and construction materials producers based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, has partnered with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and ITOCHU Corporation to establish an eco steel manufacturing complex, the first of its kind in Abu Dhabi, to increase the global supply chain for low carbon steel as part of its sustainability practices.
Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, CEO of Emirates Steel Arkan Group, emphasized the importance of working with policies that focus on sustainable practices in the manufacturing industry. "We have implemented a comprehensive monitoring system to follow production processes and emissions closely, and we strictly adhere to the highest standards and best practices not only in the UAE but also globally," Al Remeithi said, noting that resources are used efficiently and no waste is left at every stage of the production process at the facilities.
