However, the value of exports decreased by 8.3% to $84.56 billion last year. This situation brought the average export price of steel products down by 32.7% annually to $936.8 per ton.
Data shows that in December alone, China exported 7.73 million tonnes of steel products, experiencing a 3.5% decline on a monthly basis, but an increase of 43.1% on an annual basis.
December exports were worth 6.37 billion dollars, with a decrease of 1.8% compared to the previous month and 13.4% on an annual basis. The average export price was calculated as 824.9 dollars per ton, with a monthly increase of 1.7% and a decrease of 39.5% annually.
