After the summer period, fluctuations in Türkiye's imported scrap purchases continued until the end of November. The last time scrap prices, which were set as the bottom for imported scrap purchases, were at $320 in November 2022. After rising from these levels, prices fell back to their lowest levels in November 2024. Imported scrap prices, which were around $380-390 in the summer period, continued to decline gradually, reaching a low of $333 USD in November.
Türkiye's imported HMS 1&2 80:20 scrap prices were around $359 in the first week of November. In the following days, prices rose slightly to $362-363, but continued to fall to $353 by the middle of the second week. In the third week of November, with the lack of demand and the decline in scrap purchases, prices neared the bottom at around $337 for European purchases and around $345 for US purchases. In the last week of November, prices bottomed out at around $333. According to market commentary, prices are expected to remain around this level until the end of the month.

As for import shredded and bonus scrap, prices were around $381-382 in the first week of November, before falling to $365-373 in mid-November as buying prices dropped. HMS 1&2 80:20 shredded and bonus scrap prices continued to decline along with HMS 1&2 80:20 scrap prices and closed November at $357.
