The rise in the dollar rate changed the balance of iron and steel prices. Iron prices, which have continued to rise rapidly since the beginning of February, had been flat for the last week.
The demand for the dollar in international markets has strengthened after Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the decree on the recognition of the so-called administrations of pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine yesterday, and the United States and the European Union condemned the developments and announced that they would take steps on sanctions.
With the increase in the exchange rate, the markets gained momentum again.
The traded rebar prices that we publish on a daily basis are explained as follows;
Istanbul iron prices increased by 80 TL to 11,980 TL
İzmir iron prices increased by 100 TL to 11,850 TL.
Karabük iron prices increased by 50 TL to 11.750 TL
Payas iron prices increased by 50 TL and were announced as 11,800 TL.
