Approximately 32,000 tons of US bulk scrap cargo containing HMS (80:20) material was recently booked for April 22 shipment from the USA. Although not fully confirmed, the deal price is heard to be at $710/ton CFR Chittagong. Prices rose $110/ton last week after Turkish import scrap prices hit an all-time high amid global trade tensions.
Bangladesh imported 0.23 million tons (mnt) of bulk scrap in February'22.
