According to statistics, Brazil’s scrap imports totaled around 2,500 tons in February this year falling by 6.8% compared to the previous month and also dropping by 96% from the same month a year ago. The imports were mainly from Bolivia (around 1,500 tons), Paraguay (around 530 tons), and China (around 150 tons).
In terms of exports, the volume in February amounted to approximately 32,200 tons, a year-on-year increase of 36.2%, mainly exporting to Bangladesh (around 14,400 tons), India (around 5,900 tons), and Pakistan (around 4,600 tons).
