What happened to iron prices after the central bank decision?

The central bank decision that global markets have been waiting for has been announced. The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) Monetary Policy Committee (PPK) cut the one-week repo auction rate, which is the policy rate, by 100 basis points to 18 percent.

After the Central Bank's decision to cut interest rates by 100 basis points, the Turkish Lira depreciated. Dollar/TRY rose above 8.80 as the first reaction from 8.65 level and reached an all-time high level with 8.8021.

After the decision, iron and steel factories continue their sales at the level of $ 660-670, while TL-based prices vary according to the instant exchange rate.

The rebar prices we publish on a daily basis are as follows;

Istanbul iron prices increased by 70 TL to 6,870 TL.

İzmir iron prices increased by 70 TL to 6.850 TL.

Karabük iron prices increased by 50 TL to 6.800 TL.

Payas iron prices increased by 70 TL and were announced as 6.850 TL.
