Türkiye's wire rod imports increased by 319.3% in June

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's wire rod imports in June increased by 319.3% y/y from 12,844 tons to 53,853 tons. Compared to the previous month, May, it increased by 16.6%.

Total wire rod imports in the January-June period increased by 31.9% from 196,211 tons to 258,768 tons.

In the month in question, China, Kazakhstan and Spain ranked in the top 3 in wire rod imports of Türkiye. Wire rod imports from China amounted to 36,744 tons, followed by Kazakhstan with 9,993 tons, Spain with 1,739 tons, Switzerland with 1,011 tons and the South Korea with 1 ton.
