According to the research conducted by SteelRadar from Indian official institutions, the current status of EU quotas has been determined. Flat and stainless steel progressed more slowly than other product groups in quotas that vary on product basis.
The quotas for Stainless Bar and Light Profile, Wire Rod and Stainless Pipe (Seamless) have also been filled.
The entire quota of 5.536/t in stainless pipe, the quota of 6.949/t announced in wire rod, the entire quota of 29.879/t in stainless bar and light profile has been filled.
The filling rate of quotas in HRC and CRC is slow.
Along with the quota transferred from the last quarter of 2022, a quota of 614,526/t was announced in HRC (hot rolled coil). Only 87,111 /t of this has been used so far.
The situation was similar in CRC (cold rolled coil). In 2023, a total of 370.063/t quota was announced, with the quotas remaining from the previous year and transferred. Using 65.334/t of this, the remainder became 304,729/t.
The quotas for the remaining products were as follows;
4A Metallic Coated Sheets 67,680/t of the announced quota of 70,445/t was used and the remaining quota amount was recorded as 2,765/t.
4B Metallic Coated Sheets 27.776 /t of the announced quota of 181.398/t was used and the remaining quota amount was 153.622/t.
The remaining quota for Organic Coated Sheets was 56,287/t in the first quarter of 2023. The quota used is 24.906/t.
Stainless HR Quarto Plate was announced as 67,067/t in 2023 with the quotas transferred from the previous year. Until now, only 2,824/t of this has been used.
