As the Turkish flat steel market enters the second half of August, HRC prices are currently holding steady. However, underlying market activity presents a different picture from the initial price range of $585–605/ton. While producers are trying to keep HRC prices from falling, discounting has started to re-emerge in CRC, galvanized and pre-painted products as sellers seek to attract buyers.
