At the end of the first quarter of 2023, the latest EU quotas for HRC (hot rolled coil) and CRC (cold rolled coil) were obtained from the official sources of the countries.
The highest capacity for HRC was given to Turkey
Along with the transferred quota of 466.190/t from the last quarter of last year, a quota of 908.729/t was opened to Turkey this year. While 82.117/t of this has been used up to now, 826.612/t capacity remains. The quota opened to Turkey was followed by India with 614.526/t. 109,951/t quota was used in India until the end of the first quarter.
India was followed by the United Kingdom, Serbia and South Korea
While 330,515/t quota was opened to the UK for HRC, 37,468/t of this was used in the first quarter of 2023. The remaining quota was 293,047/t.
While the remaining quota of Serbia was 138.291/t, the quota it used was recorded as 96.352/t.
In South Korea, 218,104/t was opened with the quota transferred from the last quarter of last year. So far, 175,394/t part of this has been filled, while only 42,710/t quota remains.

The quotas for CRC (cold rolled coil) were announced as follows;
75.245/t of the announced quota of 370.063/t was used in India. The remaining quota was recorded as 294,818.
Of the 145,613/t quota announced for the UK, 36,284/t was used. The remaining quota amount was 109,329/t.
While 74,300/t quota was used in South Korea, the remaining amount was 41,600/t.
Of the 79,345/t quota announced in Serbia, only 16,603/t was used.
