According to data compiled by SteelRadar analysts from the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Ministry of Trade's preliminary foreign trade statistics, Türkiye's iron and steel export value increased by 30.5% year-on-year to USD 1.26 billion in June 2026. This marked the highest monthly export value recorded during the first six months of 2026.
With this performance, iron and steel ranked as Türkiye's fifth-largest export product group by value in June.
During the January–June 2026 period, the country's iron and steel export value rose by 2.7% year-on-year to USD 5.61 billion.
Meanwhile, exports of articles of iron or steel also posted solid growth in June. The export value of this product group increased by 9.5% year-on-year to USD 819.25 million, making it Türkiye's eighth-largest export product group by value during the month.
In the first six months of 2026, exports of articles of iron or steel totaled USD 4.69 billion, representing a 1.4% increase compared to the same period last year.
