According to the company's statement, they decided to use a total of 20.34 MW solar energy projects in Tata Steel's various facilities in Jamshedpur and the implementation process has started.

Agreements made by the steel giant, within the scope of the solar energy projects, a combination of rooftop technologies, floating panel systems and ground-mounted solar energy panels will be used in its facilities located in different places. Steps have been taken for the installation of a total of 41 MW. The floating solar energy project is preferred by Tata Power within the scope of clean energy.
Previously, a total of 7.65 MW rooftop solar energy projects were carried out in the central warehouse unit, cold rolling facility, wire rod and hot strip facilities. Additionally, 2 MW of ground-mounted solar power is already available at Sonari Airport.
