Steel coil imports in U.S. amounted to about 109,100 tons in January 2023, decreased by 12% compared to December 2022 and 19% compared to January 2022.
Imports from Canada amounted to about 63,300 tons, Mexico about 16,300 tons, the Netherlands about 15,700 tons, Germany about 4,800 tons, France about 3,100 tons.
Import value decreased by 14.5% monthly and 51.9% y-o-y to approximately USD 94 million.
