According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), Türkiye's wire rod exports increased by 21.1% year on year from 114,611 mt to 138,848 mt in June. Compared to May, exports rose by 50.4%.
In the January-June period, Türkiye's total wire rod exports edged down by 0.09% year on year to 528,570 mt from 529,057 mt.
Romania was the largest destination for Türkiye's wire rod exports in June, with shipments totaling 51,557 mt. It was followed by Australia with 13,120 mt, Palestine with 11,865 mt, Bosnia and Herzegovina with 10,433 mt, and Egypt with 7,079 mt.
