Rebar prices in Türkiye are stable: Low demand and high costs challenge the market

Rebar prices in Türkiye remained flat at the end of August despite low demand from local and foreign buyers. Prices across the country varied by region. In Izmir, rebar prices held steady at $575/mt, while prices in the Marmara Region were set at $595/mt ex-mill.

Icdas kept its official price at $610/mt, while buyers can purchase the product at $600/mt.

The export market followed a similar pattern, keeping prices stable at $555-575/mt FOB for September-October deliveries.

Meanwhile, the overall market remains sluggish amid weak demand both at home and abroad. Industry players find it difficult to foresee the future due to rising energy costs and global economic uncertainties. If these conditions persist, new fluctuations in rebar prices are expected. In order to overcome this challenging period, manufacturers continue their efforts to optimize their costs and seek new markets.
