Rebar imports of Türkiye decreased by 11.7% in January-May period

SteelRadar compiled data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) and revealed that Türkiye's rebar imports increased by 128% yearly in May 2024 to 20,989 tons from 9,178 tons in the same month of the previous year. In the previous month of April, it recorded an increase of 430.8%.

In January-May period, total rebar imports decreased by 11.7% compared to the same period of the previous year from 56,052 tons to 49,513 tons.

The largest rebar import destination of Türkiye in April was Portugal with 10,076 tons, followed by Iran with 5,681 tons, Italy with 5,077 tons, Canada with 96 tons and Germany with 56 tons.
