Pan-American Highway, the longest highway in the world

The Pan-American Highway, which managed to enter the Guinness Book of Records, passes through 14 countries. Canada, USA, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Argentina are the countries where this 48 thousand kilometers long highway passes.

Land transportation continues to have the most important share in the world transportation networks. Although the share of air transport in the cake is increasing, highways connect countries and even continents. Moreover, among these highways is the Pan-American Highway, which is long enough to be included in the Guinness Book of Records.
