Nippon Steel announced that it will increase electrical steel production capacity and product quality at its Setouchi and Kyushu plants. Approximately 213 billion yen will be invested for the expansion.
Demand for environmentally friendly cars is expected to increase
With regulations on carbon emissions and average fuel consumption of automobiles, the demand for environmentally friendly cars and efficient and high-quality materials is expected to increase in the future.
The investments are planned to be fully realized in the first half of fiscal year 2027.
