Mexican auto production reached 237,000 units in August, down 21.4% from the same month of the previous year, according to data released by the Mexican Automotive Industry Association (AMIA).
During this period, Mexican domestic light vehicle sales volume increased by 1.45% year on year to approximately 78,200 units, and automobile export volume decreased 19.6 percent year on year to approximately 212,700 units.
In the first eight months of this year, Mexican automobile production reached approximately 2.1 million units, up 13.3% year on year; light vehicle domestic sales volume increased by 16.1% year on year to approximately 681,000 units; Export volume increased by 15.1% year on year to 1.8 million units.
